Join APT DC at historic Mount Vernon on Thursday, March 24th for our annual symposium Digital Documentation for Heritage Preservation free of charge. Hear from leading experts in the field, participate in demonstrations, and learn how digital documentation, in its many forms, continues to revolutionize heritage preservation. Topics range from the use of laser scanning and BIM technologies to infrared thermography and the use of drones to document and assess heritage sites.
Speakers and demonstrators include professionals from Mount Vernon, NPS HABS, Direct Dimensions Inc, and other local firms. Further information on the program and speakers is to follow. Finish the day with a special presentation by architectural photographer Colin Winterbottom whose work was recently exhibited at the National Building Museum.
