On July 10-11, 2013 the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training in partnership with The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and conservator Martin Burke held a two day training on the conservation of fountains. This training was held at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri. This event included 17 presented papers, two panel discussion sessions, a fountain tour of Kansas City, as well as hands-on field sessions addressing the issues of fountain maintenance at the Nelson-Adkins.
