Enhanced Usability of The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s online What’s Out There database

Abstract
The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s (TCLF) What’s Out There (WOT) database is the nation’s most comprehensive online authority on historic designed landscapes. The database is widely utilized by educators, students, historians, historic preservationists, landscape architects, civic agencies, heritage travelers, and the general public. The database, now numbering 2,000 sites, 900 designer profiles and 11,000 images, is carefully vetted, easily navigable and richly designed. However, users who search the database cannot download search results – significantly limiting further research and usefulness to historians and heritage travelers alike. This proposal would fund a critical feature that would allow users to export search results.
