Do Not Migrate

Mary Striegel represented NCPTT at the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) board meeting, held Nov. 2-4, 2006. Of note from the meeting are the following:

  1. The Institute of Museum and Library Services, IMLS, has awarded AIC a grant in the amount of $204,258 in order to train 60 members towards building a National Conservation Emergency Response Team. Three workshops will be conducted in various locations in 2007. AIC is looking to build a certification test and checklist for Conservation First Responders.
  2. Additionally, AIC is looking to work with US Blue Shield committee to develop training for US Military personnel. AIC may provide funding towards a half-day session to train U.S. military on their responsibilities toward cultural resources.
