Camp will include both inside and outside activities. Snacks and water will be provided.

Robotics Camp 2013

NCPTT’s 2013 Robotics camp will be offered July 22-26, 2013 from 9:00 AM until noon each day at Lee H. Nelson Hall on Northwestern State University of Louisiana’s campus. The workshop is limited to 15 students who have finished the 6th grade through high school seniors. The fee for the workshop is $50.00 due at the time of registration. Scholarships are available.

Conservation Scientist for a Day 2013

Have you ever wondered what an art conservation scientist does? Have you thought about how science can teach us about an historic object? Come join us this summer and be your own scientific sleuth to learn about the culture of early inhabitants of Natchitoches through the pottery shards they left behind. NCPTT is offering a one-day workshop on July 30, 2013 called “Conservation Scientist for a Day.” You’ll have a chance to study authentic pottery through documentation, microscopy, chemical spot tests, X-ray Fluorescence analysis and more!!! NCPTT instructors will guide you through a series of experiments to learn the science behind the history.

International Cemetery Preservation Summit

NCPTT, in partnership with the Canadian Ministry of Culture, will host a two and a half day conference in Niagara Falls, NY-Ontario, Canada, October 8-10, 2013. The conference will include oral presentations, posters, and a half-day field session on the conservation of all aspects of cemetery care and conservation. The conference is open to conservation professionals, cemetery managers, board members, archaeologist, grounds keepers, and all who work in and are interested in cemeteries.
