NCPTT Held Cemetery Conservation Basics in Morris, IL

NCPTT and the Illinois State Historic Preservation Office hosted a half-day Cemetery Monument Conservation Basics Workshop in Morris, Illinois. on May 17, 2008. The workshop, geared to cemetery enthusiasts, geneologists, maintenance workers, and cemetery caretakers, addressed documentation, conditions surveys, significance and maintenace of grave surrounds and guidelines for cleaning. Forty participants were registered.

Southeast Cemetery Monument Conservation Workshop

NCPTT held its Southeast Cemetery Monument Conservation Workshop at St. Michaels Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., on Oct. 23-25. Twenty-five participants from 12 states, Guam and the United Kingdom attended the three-day hands-on workshop geared to cemetery maintenance and management staff, monument builders, and preservation professionals. This highly rated workshop is in its fifth year.
