NCPTT, in partnership with the Historical Association of Central Louisiana, will offer a cemetery monument conservation basics workshop April 20, 2013, in Pineville, Louisiana. The training is targeted to the nonprofessional, such as church sextons, genealogists, cemetery grounds workers, and family members. The workshop registration is $20 per person, this price includes a box lunch.

NCPTT and the Illinois State Historic Preservation Office hosted a half-day Cemetery Monument Conservation Basics Workshop in Morris, Illinois. on May 17, 2008. The workshop, geared to cemetery enthusiasts, geneologists, maintenance workers, and cemetery caretakers, addressed documentation, conditions surveys, significance and maintenace of grave surrounds and guidelines for cleaning. Forty participants were registered.

NCPTT held its Southeast Cemetery Monument Conservation Workshop at St. Michaels Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., on Oct. 23-25. Twenty-five participants from 12 states, Guam and the United Kingdom attended the three-day hands-on workshop geared to cemetery maintenance and management staff, monument builders, and preservation professionals. This highly rated workshop is in its fifth year.

Jason Church and Bianca Garcia conducted a Cemetery Monument Conservation Basics workshop at City Cemetery No. 1, San Antonio, Texas on June 16, 2007.

The event was sponsored by the Texas Historic Commission and attended by 30 participants covering the topics of documentation, condition assessment, fence repair, and basic cleaning methods.
