Dry Stone Workshop

Dry Stone Workshop

September 4, 2013 - September 5, 2013

The Dry Stone workshop on September 4th and 5th will take place at the Antietam National Battlefield and will focus on restoration of dry stone walls on-site. The Battle of Antietam, which pitted the Army of the Potomac under the command of George McClel-lan against Robert E. Lee’s Confederate brigades, resulted in the single bloodiest day in American military history. Although considered a draw, the Confederate retreat at the end of the fighting allowed Abraham Lincoln to claim victory and led to the issuing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The Dry Stone Workshop is a two-day event. There is no single day registration.
