NCPTT, in partnership with Great Smokey Mountains National Park, will offer a cemetery monument conservation basics workshop March 2012, in Gatlinburg, Tenn.  The training is targeted to park seasonal interpretation staff, regular yearly staff, and the public who have family members located in cemeteries within the park.

The workshop will focus on cemetery documentation, condition assessment, master plans, simple resetting techniques, and proper cleaning techniques. For more information contact Jason Church, jason_church@contractor.nps.gov

The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) will continue its highly successful training on the conservation of monuments commonly found in cemeteries with a new workshop focused on the conservation challenges of the New England region. The workshop will be held Oct. 7-9 in New London, Conn.
