NCPTT Archeologist Tad Britt spent 13-23 November 2012 in the New York and New Jersey areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. Britt, temporarily based out of Ft Wadsworth, NY, conducted archeological and cultural resources inventory of the Park units affected by Hurricane Sandy. Areas inspected by Britt included: Jamaica Bay, NY, Morristown, NJ, Fire Island, NY, Great Kills NY, and Fort Wadsworth, NY.

Preservation Institute: Nantucket (PI:N) is an interdisciplinary program that exposes participants to the theories and methodologies of international cultural heritage conservation and the research, documentation, and management of current and potential World Heritage sites. Cemetery Conservation Workshop in Natchez, Mississippi

NCPTT, in partnership with the Historic Natchez Foundation  will offer a cemetery monument conservation basics workshop May 11, 2013, in Natchez, Mississippi.  The training is targeted to the nonprofessional, such as church sextons, genealogists, cemetery grounds workers, and family members.
