NCPTT’s held its sixth annual Cemetery Monument Conservation workshop October 7-9, 2008, in New London, Connecticut. Twenty-six registrants participated in a variety of hands-on sessions. The workshop focused on brownstone and slate grave markers and included topics ranging from cleaning and consolidation to recasting a concrete base. Participants also toured the Portland Sandstone Quarry and learned more about the working qualities of sandstone and tried their hands at stone carving.
