What do you need to build a structure that can last thousands of years?
- Stack some brick or stone.
It seems so easy even a monkey could do it.
But we all know it’s more complicated. New construction or matching historic masonry? Type M, S or N mortar? Lime Mortar–What the heck is that? Is the sand washed? What size aggregate? Can I even get the same type sand as they used 150 years ago? Stretchers, headers and soldiers, oh my!
There’s a ton of resources out there and we’re going to guide you to the best of them.
Want to know more about the requirements for the job? Follow this link to view the standard Position Description Library, scroll down and click on the “All Wage Grade PD’s“.
