National Park Service organizations in the area will be sharing what’s happening with Preservation In Your Community on Thursday, August 8 from 5:30 PM to 7:00PM. This 14th annual event will showcase preservation research and projects of the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT), Cane River National Heritage Area (CRNHA) and Cane River Creole National Historical Park (CARI).
Each year students from around the nation come to Natchitoches, Louisiana, undertake scholarly research, and hone their skills through projects that advance preservation of cultural heritage. These research projects and discussions about projects will be featured in poster presentations at Preservation in Your Community.
This free event will be held at NCPTT’s Lee H. Nelson Hall, located at 645 University Parkway on campus of Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Light refreshments will be served.
