Silver Terrace Cemetery
The scenic Silver Terrace Cemetery was the setting for NCPTT’s Southwest Regional Cemetery Conservation Workshop held in Virginia City, Nev. Sept. 26-28, 2006. Hands-on portions of this workshop included condition assessments and evaluations, cleaning, adhesive repair, patching and filling, resetting, metals conservation, and vandalism issues. A special focus of this workshop was the conservation of historic wooden grave markers and grave surrounds.
