Survey of state regulations regarding use of x-ray machines
Phone surveys were done with Alabama, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Virginia. The tables below describe the regulatory requirements for use of this equipment for historic preservation research. Each table identifies the agency to contact, the contact person (in 2004), what is required to bring radioscopy equipment into that state and if there is reciprocity or the ability to use licensing from your home state.
